On September 25, Spryker EXCITE 2025 took place in Berlin – the leading conference for digital commerce solutions. Under the motto “Connected Commerce: Powering the Hybrid Future”, industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers came together to share and discuss their perspectives on seamlessly connecting online and offline worlds. As a long-standing Spryker partner, we were of course there – here are our key takeaways:

Strategic Shifts

Given the current market situation, technology investments have long since become more than mere expenses for companies. They are strategic levers for growth, efficiency, and sustainable competitive advantage. Spryker is aligning its strategy with this market reality:

  • Geographic focus: Europe remains the region with the greatest growth dynamics and market stability for Spryker. As conditions in North America become more complex, many companies are refocusing their investments on Europe.

  • Simplified package: Platform including B2C, B2B, Marketplace, and Self-Service as a unified offering – no more separate pricing.

  • Flexible hosting options: Following the motto “Deploy and operate anywhere”, customers can now choose between different clouds or host themselves. This also opens up new opportunities for partners like us to position our own services.

  • Introduction of the new CEO, Stefan Ropers:
“This is a pivotal moment for digital commerce and for Spryker. I look forward to working with Co-CEO Alexander Graf and the Spryker team to strengthen the company’s technological leadership and increase value for our customers and shareholders.”

AI as a Driver of Innovation

One of the central developments in 2025: the debate “AI – Opportunity or Risk?” has shifted significantly – it is now dominated by real-world use cases and measurable benefits. Even large enterprises increasingly use AI tools to complete tasks faster, more efficiently, and more comprehensively. AI is no longer an add-on, but the foundation of nearly all digital processes.

As a technological pioneer, Spryker integrates AI on multiple levels:

  • Internal development: AI tools are used internally with an adoption rate of over 95%.

  • Customer projects: Through Spryker’s training platform, best practices, playbooks, tools, and dedicated GPTs are made available.

  • Prompt Library / AI Developer SDK: Spryker’s AI-powered prompt and configuration library is evolving into a full-fledged AI Development SDK, enabling developers to achieve results faster and make tasks more efficient through intelligent AI support. This aims to further reduce project costs or enable the implementation of more features in the same timeframe.

The Role of Partners

A particularly positive outlook: Spryker is focusing more than ever on the strengths of its partners – especially their domain expertise. Spryker’s principles for joint projects are:

  • Adopt with ease – simple implementation

  • Go live faster – shorter time to market

  • Build with AI – AI-assisted development

Conclusion: Connected Commerce as a Competitive Advantage

Spryker EXCITE 2025 made one thing clear: the concept of Connected Commerce goes beyond technology – it is about building a sustainable strategy for growth, agility, and customer centricity. With a focus on B2B, a simplified pricing model, flexible hosting options, and AI integration, Spryker provides partners and customers with all the tools they need to act quickly, efficiently, and innovatively.
